Insignia Ns 40d420na16 Firmware Update
Insignia Smart Speaker firmware update issues - NS-CSPGASP-B
I brought three of these over Black Friday and none of them work. Setup works fine but does not download new firmware during initial setup. Aplikasi tv offline tanpa usb. The google assistant works fine for about an hour. After an hour, when I say Hey Google, it says 'hmm something went wrong' or 'there was a glitch'.
I think it’s an issue with the stock firmware 105 that it ships with.
firmware won’t update overnight or by force reset.
Has anyone had similar issues? And were you able to fix it? This is crazy infuriating.
Thanks in advance-
Edit: So oddly enough, I added one speaker to a random gmail account that I never use. I skipped voice match. It stayed 'working' over night which is the longest I've ever seen. Usually the speakers stop within an hour and I start getting the error. I still haven't received any firmware updates yet but I am still hopeful. Will update the post if I finally receive it.
More Edit: When it says 'there was a glitch' it seems to be some type of authentication issue. I removed the device from my 'home' but did not do a hard reset. In the home app, the speaker still showed up and there is some text under it that says link to account (or something like it). I relinked it to my account (again without factory reset) and it started working again. Let's see if it stays!
12/12 UPDATE! Sent my Mac address to the engineers a couple days ago and all of them updated today on their own. Try a hard reset now and set them up!
This was down because my Insignia TV just stopped working after doing a firmware upgrade through a thumbdrive. It was completely dead. I knew I had a good power supply so I didnt have to worry about that side (board in the middle of picture). All other websites suggested to replace the Mainboard which in would have fixed it. However they discontinued making the replacement mainboard for my specific model. I researched and found that maybe by replacing just the EEPROM chip on the mainboard might bring it back which it did. Also, by replacing the EEPROM chip fixes other errors happening with the TV such as turning off suddenly or power light is ON but doesn't come on when power is pressed. That is because the EEPROM holds the basic instruction set for the TV's microprocessor and if it gets corrupted bad things start to happen..such as no response when the power button is pushed. So my only option was to buy a new TV or try this inexpensive self-repair.
This will take a little soldering skills and require:
>EEPROM replacement chip -- about 20 bucks on ebay for this model it was the U403 EEPROM chip
>soldering kit -about 10 bucks on Amazon
Panduan sholat dhuha pdf. >small Phillips screw driver set
>small wire cutters
>I used a magnifying glass stand to help see during soldering.
>one Exacto knife -about 2 bucks
>heat sink compound to bind the heat shield to the microprocessor again. -about 3 bucks at RadioShack
